REACHING CARIBBEAN NATIONALS… IN THE REGION... AND BEYOND
The Caribbean Hour started out as a weekly programme aired on Love 101 FM in Jamaica on Wednesdays at 2 pm. Since 2001, this programme has featured presentations from local community activities to major Caribbean Gospel events including “Fun in the Son”, the annual Barbados Gospelfest, and the Caribbean Gospel Music Awards, better known as the Marlin Awards.
SPREADING ITS WINGS …. CARIBBEAN GOSPEL STYLE
The New Caribbean Hour brings you much more participation from broadcasters and guests from more Caribbean territories; interviews, cultural features, points of interest, recordings from live events, personality highlights and more.
The new-look, new-sound Caribbean Hour was launched in Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St Kitts/Nevis, Dominica, and St. Lucia in February 2005.
The breadth, scope and possibilities of this programme are endless. On March 21, 2005, The Caribbean Hour made its first step outside the region as it hit the airwaves of WDJZ 1530 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. Wherever Caribbean nationals reside, The Caribbean Hour will impact.
In June 2006 we made a safe landing in Belize on My Refuge Christian Radio. The Caribbean Hour continued to make giant leaps as we received a warm welcome on New Beginning Radio in Anguilla. At present, The Caribbean Hour is aired on Love 101 FM in Jamaica, Praise FM 93.3 in St Kitts/Nevis, New Beginning Radio (Grace FM) in Anguilla, My Refuge Christian Radio in Belize, Message 105 in South Belize, Cross Country Radio in St. Vincent & The Grenadines and on Rizzen 102 FM St. Lucia.
This past year, stations like Dominica's Kairi FM and Toronto's Streaming Praise (Internet) Radio continue to partner with us by airing our special live events which we share with the region. These include Jamaica's National Gospel & Genesis Festivals, Papa San and Friends live from Miami, Florida, The Maja Awards, Barbados Gospelfest, and a number of major gospel events in the Cayman Islands including the annual Cayman Islands Gospel Festival.
Please keep those prayers going up as we continue to move in whatever direction God leads.
Get on board and let us take you on a musical adventure... across the Caribbean.
